COVID-19 Update: As we continue to face the challenges of operating during COVID, we have made several operational changes including: Steaming furniture at 350 degrees, spraying all surfaces with IN-CIDE (a hospital grade disinfectant), allowing self check-in, limiting interaction between guests and staff, and practicing social distancing on our properties.
Q: How can I see rates and availability online?
A: Our advance reservations are weekly rates, please search our reservation page using Saturday to Saturday dates and up to 7 guests total. We release the remaing shorter stays a week prior. Q: Is Indian Rocks Beach a safe beach?
A: There’s a reason the official trademark and motto of Indian Rocks Beach is ‘World’s Safest Beach’! While we of course encourage normal safety precautions, Indian Rocks is noted as one of the safest family beach destinations in the US, hence the tagline.
Q: Should I rent a car during my beach vacation at Gulfside?
A: With exceptional walkability once you arrive there is no reason to get back in your car. Over 20 restaurants and pubs, surf shops and cafes are located within a couple of blocks. While you absolutely can walk to close-by establishments within a mile–a car is helpful for day trips like Disney (90 minutes by car) or to drive to nearby Saint Petersburg (20 minutes) to visit cultural institutions like the Dali Museum.
Q: Is Gulfside Resorts Eco-friendly?
A: We are constantly working to reduce our environmental footprint and to preserve our beautiful beaches for the next generation. Some of our efforts include chlorine-free swimming pools, furniture that is made in America and natural (but effective!) cleaning products. Our gardens are comprised of native species and butterfly plants. We are also mindful of nesting sea turtles and keep a low light to keep our turtles safe. To preserve our delicate beach ecosystem and to protect our nesting sea turtles, pets are not allowed on the beach. This is not the case with nearby Clearwater Beach which allows large dogs.
Q: How much beach access is available?
A: Indian Rocks Beach at the waterline is considered a public beach just like nearby St. Pete and Clearwater Beaches; however public access is only allowed at city designated beach access sites with minimal permit-only parking. There are no public parking garages unlike our neighbors in Clearwater. Since our properties are flanked by private single family homes this insures you will enjoy privacy and quiet during your time at the beach.
Q: Are there any rules regarding our properties?
The comfort, safety and well being of our guests is our priority. We do not allow pets, loud stereos, smoking or large gatherings. We also enforce a maximum occupancy for different room types.
Q: Does Gulfside allow nightly guests?
A: By design, the schedule of rentals runs Saturday through Saturday–on a weekly basis. Overall this translates into a quiet peaceful setting without the distraction of day trippers and nightly rentals. Approximately 70% of our guests are repeat or referral. Many guests make friends at the resort and then plan to visit at the same time each year.
Q: When will I be charged for my reservation?
A: A deposit of either $500 or $1000 will be charged at the time of booking. If the total amount of your stay is under $2500 you will be charged a $500 deposit; if the total amount of your stay is more than $2500 you will be charged a $1000 deposit. The deposit does go towards your final balance. Gulfside Resorts reserves the right to charge the final balance on the card we have on file within 30 days of guest arrival.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Notice given outside of sixty (60) days prior to arrival will result in forfeiture of one night stay per unit/ per week reserved. Notice given less than 60 days prior to arrival will result in forfeiture of deposit. Full payment due 30 days before arrival. Cancellations less than 30 days forfeit all monies collected.
